Medical Equipment List 2011-2012 Our new hospital!
We have moved our patients into the new building. Phase l culminated on July 3rd with the relocation of 60 in-patients within the Norman Site to the new addition. Phase ll which took place on July 28th saw 54 in-patients successfully relocated to the new facilities from the Mitton Site. The new emergency opened that day as well. Construction will continue in the Russell Building with a completion date of November 2011.
The Foundation has the challenge of funding the cost of all medical equipment & highly specialized technology. We have committed to the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care as well as Infrastructure Ontario to raise an additional $6.5 million. We have raised $5.5 million toward that goal but still need $1 million.
With careful consideration and consultation, the hospital and medical staff developed a prioritized list of essential new medical equipment and technology. This is a partial list of those items; the complete list of equipment is available upon request.
We thank you for assisting us to provide ongoing support for our present and future patients.
