Who Are We?

Bluewater Health is the legal corporation that oversees the management of the three hospital sites in Sarnia-Lambton. The new corporation was formed on April 1, 2003 with the amalgamation of Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital in Petrolia and Sarnia General Hospital. The Board of St. Joseph's Health Centre, Sarnia, withdrew from institutional health care at the same time. Meeting the medical needs of 129,000 Sarnia-Lambton residents, the sites work together to implement an effective and efficient delivery system to provide quality health care programs and services. The new corporation brings together the excellence of the three historical facilities that have long, proud traditions in our community.

The top priority of Bluewater Health has always been, and will always be to provide the very best possible care for our patients. For more information about the Bluewater Health Hospital sites, please visit

The Foundation supports initiatives that would not normally be funded through government sources. Whether for patient care and comfort, education, or new equipment, donor contributions provide many benefits to patients that otherwise might not be available. The support of the Foundation means the difference between "adequate" and "excellent" health care for our community.

The Foundation's revenue is generated through gifts from donors, special events such as the Dream Home Lottery, and through accrued interest from investments.

Our Mission

The mission of Bluewater Health Foundation is to raise funds for Bluewater Health in order to support quality health care.
