Bluewater Health is the legal corporation that oversees the management of the three hospital sites in Sarnia-Lambton. The new corporation was formed on April 1, 2003 with the amalgamation of Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital in Petrolia and Sarnia General Hospital. The Board of St. Joseph's Health Centre, Sarnia, withdrew from institutional health care at the same time. Meeting the medical needs of 129,000 Sarnia-Lambton residents, the sites work together to implement an effective and efficient delivery system to provide quality health care programs and services. The new corporation brings together the excellence of the three historical facilities that have long, proud traditions in our community. VISION Bluewater Health Foundation will be the best community hospital foundation in Ontario. MISSION Bluewater Health Foundation, a legal entity, exists to raise funds for Bluewater Health. These funds are to facilitate the acquisition of leading edge equipment and technology, and the provision of education for patients, staff and physicians.
